The numbers drawn in last weeks Mountcolli­ns A.F.C. lotto were 4, 8 , 16 and 19. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Nelius Murphy, Mountcolli­ns, Richard Fitzgerald, Brosna, Teresa O Halloran, Kostal, Patrick Brosnan, Brosna and Joe Browne, Browns. The promoters prize went to Noel Dillane. This weeks jackpot will be €4,300

CARD GAME

The winners of last weeks card game were Eileen Finnegan, Mary Murphy and Betty Curtin. The runners up prize was won by Marian Roche, Pat Fitzgerald and Jackie Hartnett. The table prize went to the team of Dan Brosnan, Peter Mahony and John Lyons. The door prize was won by Peter O Mahoney with raffle prizes going to Marian Quirke, Tom Nelligan, Mossie Collins and Kathleen Lenihan (twice) Cards as usual on this Thursday night at 9pm and all are welcome.

CEILI

The May Ceili in Halla Tadgh Gaelach, Tournafull­a has been moved out to Friday, May 25th. Music for dancing will be provided by Taylor’s Cross Ceili Band from 9.30pm. There will be refreshmen­ts served on the night and all are welcome.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the Mountcolli­ns/Tournafull­a G.A.A. clubs lotto where the numbers drawn were 7, 11 , 18 and 29. Congratula­tions to Con Kelly, London who was the lucky winner of the €4,100 jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Eoin Collins, Tournafull­a, Mary O Sullivan, Mountcolli­ns, Diarmuid Collins, Athena and Grace Quirke, Templeglan­tine. The promoters prize went to Seamus O Sullivan. Next weeks jackpot will be €1,000

RECENT DEATH

Sympathy is extended to the relatives of Sean Murphy, Riverside Drive, Mountcolli­ns and formerly of Caherlevoy, Mountcolli­ns who passed away at University Hospital Limerick during the past week. Sean was a talented sportsman in his younger days giving fine performanc­es for the local GAA team as well as being skillful at soccer, rugby and hurling. His remains were laid to rest in the local cemetery after requiem mass in Mountcolli­ns on Thursday last. May he Rest in Peace.

CLUB NA NOG

The club had two teams in action during the past week at under 8 and under 10 level. pairc na Gael, Brosna was the venue for the games with both teams giving excellent displays against our near neighbour. Our thanks to Brosna for the games and we look forward to a rematch in Mountcolli­nsi in the near future. The under 8 panel who are coached by Pa Delee and Aileen O Connor was, Nathan Morris, Ryan Cummins, Shane Kavanagh, Declan Leah’s, Jack O Rourke, Oran O Mahoney, Darragh Sheehan, James O Rourke, Fiona Delee, Murt Nolan, Eoin O Connor, Danny Horgan, Tommy Long, Conor Quirke. The under 10 team who are coached by Michael Lenihan and Marie O Mahoney was Conor Lane, Ava Kavanagh, Oisin Horgan, David O Connor, Saoirse Broderick, Cora Long, Grace Long, Aine Lane, Tony Flynn, Aaron Morris, Emma O Callaghan, Michelle O Mahoney, Paul Collins, Charlie Baker.

FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Mountcolli­ns made the long journey to Foynes on Saturday evening for the opening round of the Junior B football league competitio­n against St. Senans. The local side had a nice blend of youth and experience with a number of players making their adult debut. While St. Senans claimed the points, Mountcolli­ns can feel happy with their performanc­e in their opening game. The final score was St. Senans 2-15, Mountcolli­ns 2-8. Top scorer for Mountcolli­ns was Michael Lenihan with 1-1. Brian McCarthy contribute­d 4pts, Patrick Finnegan 1 goal and. Mikey O Mahoney, Pat O Connor and Gavin O Reilly, 1pt each. The Mountcolli­ns line out was Sean Palmer, Eoin McMahon, Eric Lacy, Jessie O Mahony, Paudie Hickey, John J O Connell, Mike O Mahony, James Mc Carthy, Gavin O Reilly, Mike Lenihan, Pat Hessler O Connor, Patrick Finegan, John Lenihan, Denis Dillane, (capt) Jamie O Mahony. Subs Sean Lyons, Míchael Collins, Brian Mc Carthy.
