Rewarding end to the school year at Tarbert Comp
THERE was more than one star on the stage in Tarbert Comprehensive School last Thursday as they celebrated their annual awards night.
The night was full of laughs, cries and inspiring words as the students each took to the stage, some for the last time.
The night consisted of awarding and recognising the efforts and achievements throughout the year. Everything from art to sport to academics was recognised on the night. The sky was the limit when it came to the student’s achievements.
The night was emceed by the hilarious teachers Ms Fitzgerald and Mr O’Shea and they didn’t fail to entertain the crowd in the hall and all those watching online. Former Armagh Footballer Oisín McConville and current Ireland Ladies Rugby Squad Captain Ciara Griffin were present on the night to give a helping hand with the presentation of awards and spoke to the students. Oisín talked about choices, emotional health and the importance of being happy with our choices while Ciara spoke of the importance of accepting one’s self, finding balance in life and being active.
