KILLARNEY Celtic’s unbeaten record in domestic fixtures continued at Celtic Park on Friday evening after booking their place in the semi-final of the Greyhound Bar Cup after an impressive win over Tralee Celtic. The home side opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a superb goal by Gary Keane and they went in 1-0 ahead at the interval.

Second half goals from Cathal O’Shea and Peter McCarthy from the penalty spot gave the Killarney side a comfortabl­e win at the end.

Killarney Celtic now meet Mitchels Avenue in the semi-final. They are already through to the Premier A Final and will be hot favourites to win the league and cup double given the form they have shown so far this season.

Ballyhar Dynamos 3 Castlegreg­ory 0

BALLYHAR Dynamos are in the hat for the next round after a great win over Castlegreg­ory. Their goalscorer­s were Niall McCarthy (40 min), Liam Brosnan (70 min), and Padraig Shanahan (80 min). Their best players were Patrick Daly, Pat Browne, Kevin O’Sullivan, Dan O’Shea, Ed Kerrisk, Shane O’Donoghue and Diarmuid Brosnan.

Camp United 5 Killorglin B 1

CAMP United were too strong for Killorglin’s second string side. Fintan O’Herlihy, Robbie O’Brien, Gearoid O’Shea, Jack Farrell and Genie Farrell scored for the West Kerry side. Mitchel O’Sullivan scored for Killorglin.

MITCHELS Avenue are in the hat for the next round after a good win over QPR. David Courtney and Graham O’Leary scored for the winners.

Rattoo Rovers 0 CG Killarney 3

CG Killarney progress after a 3-0 win over Rattoo Rovers. John Foley, Ger Foley, and Bogdan Pop scored for the winners with assists from Ronan Walsh, Aidan Galvin and Dave Keirns. Best on the day were Johnny Murphy, Gordan Murphy and Sam Treharne.

Spa Road 1 Castleisla­nd B 2

CASTLEISLA­ND edged a tight game with their goals coming from Matthew Browne and Josh Horan. Spa Road created a rare piece of history in this game with Jack Moriarty coming on as a sub in the second half to play along side his son Tommy who scored the Spa Road goal.

Listowel Celtic B 1 Ballyheigu­e Athletic 2

BALLYHEIGU­E Athletic came out on top in a close game and their goals were scored by Danny Casey and Michael Leane.

ASDEE Rovers kept their prospects of making the league final alive with a comfortabl­e win over Killarney Athletic B. Joe Lynch (2), John Horgan and Eamon Leahy scored for the winners. They now have two games left against Castlegreg­ory and Windmill United and if they win both they will qualify for the final. These will be huge games as both Windmill and Castlegreg­ory are also striving to qualify for the decider as well as Listowel Celtic B.

TRALEE Dynamos booked their place in the final after a comfortabl­e win over Rattoo Rovers. Derek O’Shea (2), Codi Douti, Simon Lorne and Tennyson Efegbare scored for the winners. Nathan McGrath scored both of Rattoo Rovers goals. Dynamos meet The Park in the final.

DENNY U-17 LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL

THE Park are through to the final after a hard earned win over Ballyheigu­e Athletic. Mervyn Shalemba, TJ McMahon and Colin Walsh scored for The Park while Nathan Guerin and Sean Sheehan scored for Ballyheigu­e. They play Tralee Dynamos in the final.
