COISTE NA NÓG: Well done to our U14 team who secured a place in the Lee Strand Div. 2 County Hurling league on Saturday evening when they defeated South Kerry in an exciting semi final in Lerrig. Trailing by 4 points at half time the boys more than made up for it in the second half with some solid defending and excellent scores it was a performanc­e to be proud of. When the final whistle blew the team had racked up an impressive 7 point lead to finish with a scoreline of Kilmoyley 4-10 South Kerry 4-03. A well deserved win and we now look forward to the final.

U8: Our U8 team played a blitz in Abbeydorne­y on Friday evening last. They played Crotta, Lixnaw and Abbeydorne­y and won all their three matches. Their last blitz of this series is scheduled for next Thursday evening in Caherslee at 6.30 p.m.U11s: The U11s play their first match of the season on Friday evening away versus Tralee Parnells.

A word of congratula­tions to our young hurlers and camogie players who represente­d Kilmoyley National School in the Primary Schools hurling skills competitio­n on Thursday last in John Mitchels complex. The girls team of Ciara O’Sullivan, Ruth O’Connor and Caoimhe Regan won first place in the team event and the boys team of Cian McElligott, Tomás Godley and Darragh Corridon came third in the team competitio­n. Well done to Ciara O’Sullivan who came third in the individual event after a play-off, and to Darragh Corridon who came fourth after a play-off. With such talent on display in John Mitchels it was a great achievemen­t for these players. Well done to all involved.
