Lotto: The lotto draw for a jackpot of €7300 was held on Saturday night last in Roche’s Bar, Knocknagos­hel. The numbers drawn were 4, 12, 20 and 31. There was no winner of the jackpot. The five lucky dips of €30 each drawn went to Laura Parkinson Kilflynn, Mary McAuliffe Knocknagos­hel Village, Noreen Thompson Meenleitri­m, Con O’Donoghue Tooreenago­wn and Michelle O’Connor Meenganair­e. The next draw will be for a jackpot of €7400 and will be held in Moynihan’s Bar Headleysbr­idge, on Saturday 7th of July. Tickets are available from Kieran’s XL, Leahy’s Post Office, the local bars and usual sellers. Knocknagos­hel 2-9 Kerins O’Rahilly’s B 7-6 In a goal fest in Knocknagos­hel it was the visitors whose forwards ran riot pillaging seven goals, four in the first half and three in the second. John McGrath opened the scoring with a point from play for the visitors. Knocknagos­hel replied with a point from play from full forward John O’Keeffe. Donagh O’Brien got the visitor’s first goal with a lobbing shot that dipped in to the top corner out of reach of the Knocknagos­hel goalkeeper. Paudie Griffin who looked lively throughout turned his man and ran in along the endline to score their second goal. Their forwards combined very well in this period with some slick passing in contrast to some poor passing from the home team.

The half time score stood at 4-3 to 0-3 with Knocknagos­hel’s two other points coming from a 45 by David O’Donoghue and a point from play from the boot of Shane O’Connell. Rory O’Connor raided
