LISSELTON SCHOOL BAKE SALE
The pupils of Regina Walsh’s 5th and 6th class have, along with their teacher, organised a Bake Sale on Friday next, June 15th at Lisselton School. Time 10.00am. All proceeds from the event will go to the Niall Mellon Trust, Educate programme in Cape Town, Sth Africa. Ms Walsh is volunteering in the programme during the Summer. Your support will be much appreciated.
BBF MID SUMMER DAY COFFEE MORNING
The annual Ballydonoghue Bardic Festival Coffee Morning takes place on Sunday next, June 17th at Tomáisín’s at 11.00am. This is to celebrate the approach of the longest day of the year and gives people an opportunity to catch up with their neighbours.

CEMETERY CLEAN:
Calling for volunteers to lend a hand on a complete tidy up of the Cemetery in Aghavallin, Rusheen, Ballylongford commencing on Monday evening 18th June at 7.00pm next and it is hoped that this will continue every Monday evening until the end of the Summer.
Families with graves in the cemetery and, indeed, any volunteers are especially asked to come along to help out and ensure that the cemetery will look in mint condition not alone for the Annual Mass but indeed throughout the rest of the year.

Any information on 1918 is of particular interest to the Magazine committee for the 2018 edition. Details required of Births, Marriages and Deaths, both at home and abroad, people interred in the parish cemeteries as well as Listowel, Lislaughtin Abbey, Derrico, Killahenny and Kilconly and other parts of the country. The deadline for the Maurice Walsh and Jonnie Bambury Creative Writing and Poetry competitions is fast approaching. Please submit entries
