COISTE NA NÓG: U10’s It was Ballyduff’s turn to host the U10’s in the Go Games Football Blitz rotation and this took place on Monday night. The visiting teams were Tarbert, Ballydonog­hue and Knocknogos­hel and each team got the chance to put their skills learned in training into practice. Well done to the organisers.

U12’s The U12s took on Firies on a sunsoaked Sunday evening in Farranfore. They played some lovely football and drew 5 9 a piece with the home side. The U11’s had a comfortabl­e win over their opponents, which means they are now League champions.U14’s The U14 hurlers were back in action for the first time since Féile when they took on Lixnaw away in the North Kerry League on Monday night of last week. Although the visitors started slow, they soon got into their stride and eased into a comfortabl­e lead with the help of a hat trick from Anthony Kavanagh. This was a good win for the boys to kick start their North Kerry League campaign. Their next outing is at home to Ballyheigu­e on Thursday at 7.00pm. All support would be appreciate­d.U16’s Now that the long awaited Junior Cert is over the U16 footballer­s had their first game in the County League against Kerins O’Rahillys on Wednesday evening in Strand Road. It was a challenge considerin­g Ballyduff had no subs and lost a man half through second half to a black card. Ballyduff dominated at stretches during the match, however a flurry of late goals by Kerins O’Rahillys led to an exciting finish. Final score Ballyduff 4 18 Kerins O’Rahillys 7 6. Well done to players and mentors. BALLYDUFF GAA NEWS:County Hurling Championsh­ip: Ballyduff senior hurlers take on Crotta on Saturday evening next at Austin Stack Park in the secondd round of the County Senior Hurling Championsh­ip at 7.15pm. Come along and support the “Boys in Green” County Hurling League: Ballyduff senior hurlers took on St Brendan’s in the Credit Union sponsored County Senior Hurling League at Ballyduff on Friday evening last. Both sides were short some players and were evenly matched. St Brendan’s led at halftime and it took a superb long range point from Mikey Boyle to tie the scores at 17 points each at full time.
