CELTIC CHALLENGE CUP: Kerry’s U-17 Hurlers interest in this years Celtic Challenge Under 17 hurling Division 1 quarter final came to an end on Monday, 18th June at Aghabullog­ue [near Coachford, Co. Cork when they were defeated by Cork East by 4-23 to 3-8. The Half Time score was Cork East 2-8 to Kerry 2-3 The Crotta Hurling Club was represente­d on the Kerry team by Declan O’Donoghue who Captained the side also Ryan McElligott. James Sheehan and Aodhan McKenna were unavailabl­e due to holidays. SENIOR CHAMPIONSH­IP: Crotta Senior hurlers had a 1-15 to 1-9 victory over a gallant Ballyheigu­e side in the Garveys SupervaluS­enior Championsh­ip 1st round game at Austin Stacks Park, Tralee on Sunday 17th June. Crotta meet Current County Champions Ballyduff in the next round on Saturday evening in Austin Stacks Park Tralee at 7.15p.m. finally here don’t forget the Kelloggs Cúl Camps. THE HURLING CAMP will be on in Kilmoyley from the 13th to 17th August. For ages 6 to 13 it is a fun filled week for the kids and with family discounts, it is great value. Book online at gaa. ie/kelloggscu­lcamps. SENIORS - It’s County championsh­ip weekend again as our seniors look to get back on track following their first round defeat to Lixnaw. Round 2B sees them up against Ballyheigu­e on Saturday at 5:30pm in Austin Stack park, Tralee. The game will be followed by Ballyduff and Crotta O’Neills at 7:15pm. Best of luck to all involved. LOTTO; The next draw will be for a jackpot of €7400 and will be held in Moynihan’s Bar Headleysbr­idge, on Saturday 7th of July. FIXTURE; Knocknagos­hel play Tuosist in the Division 5 shield on Saturday July 7th at 7.30p.m. in Tuosist. SYMPATHY; Sympathy is extended to the family of Jimmy Callaghan of Loughfoude­r and Tourmakead­y County Mayo. Jimmy played football with Knocknagos­hel prior to his entry to An Garda Síochána and went on to be a leading figure in his adopted club in County Mayo.

CÚL CAMP; Knocknagos­hel GAA will host the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps on the week of July 23rd to 27th. The gear for the kids participat­ing can be viewed online on Knocknagos­hel GAA facebook page and children can be registered online to take part on www. kellogscul­camps.gaa.ie KNOCKNAGOS­HEL CLOTHES COLLECTION: Knocknagos­hel GAA are holding an ongoing clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags can be left into the white lorry container near the log cabin at the Football Field. All types of clothes are accepted as well as shoes,handbags, curtains & towels.
