SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP: Ballyduff advanced to the Semi final of the Garvey’s sponsored Co Snr Hurling Championship by virtue of a hard earned win over Crotta at Austin Stack Park on Saturday evening last .A below par first half saw us go in at halftime one pt down even though we had the advantage of a stiff breeze 1-5 to 0--9 Jack Goulding with 1-3 and pts from Podge Boyle and Eoin Ross . Whatever was said in the dressing room at halftime seemed to have effect as Ballyduff were a transformed team in the second half we took the game to Crotta with pts from Paul O’Carroll Mikey Boyle Podge and1--2 from Jack Goulding we held out even though Crotta tried hard for the equaliser our backs stood firm well marshalled by sub goalie Liam Boyle there is a five week wait for the semi final so plenty of time for Ger Manley and his backroom team to get them in shape.
