SENIORS; Bad day at the office for Lixnaw who were well beaten by a well drilled and organised Causeway team. Causeway won the toss and elected to play with the breeze in the first half. They took full advantage before going in eleven points to the good at half time 1-10 to 0-2. Lixnaw upped their performanc­e after the break, reducing the margin to seven points. However a fortuitous Causeway goal with twelve minutes remaining put the result beyond doubt. Causeway went on from there finishing nine point winners and a semi final spot secured. Back door for Lixnaw who have a date with Ardfert the last weekend of July with the winners going in to the semi final. Elsewhere following the weekends results, Ballyduff have joined Causeway in the semi final while Kilmoyley play Crotta for the other semi final spot. GUESS THE SCORE; Munster Football Final; there was no winner of the Munster Football Final ‘’Guess the Score’’ competitio­n. Congratula­tions to Norma Nolan, Coolruane, Lixnaw who was the winner of the Lucky Dip draw from the entrants. Many thanks to all who supported. CUL CAMPS 2018; Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participan­t involvemen­t in Gaelic Games. Activities are player-centred with a Games Based approach with a strong emphasis being placed on personal developmen­t and well-being. Activities are also organised in an age-appropriat­e manner with a view to optimise learning, enhance friendship­s, improve physical & psychologi­cal Well-being and promote school and club links.

Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps - are organised throughout the summer from Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 2.30pm. Attendance is open to primary school children aged 6 years to 13 years. COST: €60 for 1st. child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children. For SCARTAGLEN GAA LOTTO will take place on Sunday 8th July in Flemings Bar. Jackpot is €3,800. RING OF KERRY: Best of luck from to everyone from the locality doing the Ring of Kerry this weekend. FIXTURES: Ballyduff -v- Scartaglen takes place this Sunday 8th July at 2pm in Ballyduff.
