ST. BRENDAN’S A.C.

Athletes of all ages had a great day out at the Kilmoyley road races. A big squad enjoyed the sunshine, the competition and the hospitality at both the 5k and 10k runs. Ursula Barrett had a good performance in the 5k to finish in 3rd place in the women’s race while Ann McGlynn was top local finisher in the 10k. Well done to Zach Walshe who won a prize in the juvenile category.

Congratulations to all juvenile athletes who competed or won medals in the Kerry Community Games county athletics finals in Castleisland on Saturday and Sunday.

St Brendan’s AC had two athletes in action in the All Ireland juvenile games in Tullamore on Sunday last. Conor O’Sullivan and Ben O’Connor performed well in their sprint and while they didn’t make the podium, the experience they earned was huge and will stand to them in future championships. Any adults who want to get involved in Tuesday training sessions may call Irene on 087 7985557. Training venue changes from week to week so ring in advance. See Facebook or the blogspot for further information.
