Old fashioned Street Fair Sat. July 14th from 9am-4pm. The Committee is looking fpr animals to be bought and sold as in the days gone by. We would like cattle,horses, sheep, pigs, donkeys, hens,ducks and geese.There will be pens down 1 side of Forge rdand in 1 or 2 fields. There will be a pet show too.Prizes will be awarded.If anyone is interested in donating a Perpetual Trophy for any class or if you want anymore informatio­n,please contact Pat O’Shea on 0861738187. BRANDON BAY MARATHON

Registrati­on and kit pick-up will take place in The Clubrooms Friday 13th from 5-11pm.

MARITIME FESTIVAL

Festival will be held the weekend of July 20th+21st at various points around the village and the Maharees.The Festival will be opened by Nuala Moore who will discuss her recent swim where the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans meet at the Cape. On Saturday night Ken O Sullivan who presented the RTE series entitled =91Irelands Deep Atlantic’ . He will show clips of his dives, some of which were shot around here. BRIDGE IS BACK

Mondays in the Club Rooms at 7.45pm. All are welcome. If you are a real beginner come at 7pm and we’ll try to give you a hand

NOTICE

Upcoming elections for the Community council will be taking place in June with new members starting end of August. Stradbally, Maharees, Aughacasla and the Village are eligible to have 5 members per area to sit on the Council. Some active board members have served the maximum elected term allowed so it is critical that new representa­tion step forward. This is an excellent opportunit­y for your voice to be heard and positively impact the future of our community.

The voting has been extended until Fridy 6th July. Please return your ballot sheets with your chosen candidates to the Informatio­n Office by then. Those of you who havent as yet received a ballot sheet call into the office and pick one up, while you are there fill it in and leave it in the ballot box.

SUMMER FESTIVAL

Dates for the Summer Festival: Friday-Sunday, July 13th, 14th and 15th

CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND PHOTOGRAPH­ERS!

On 21st and 22nd July there will be a Maritime Festival in the Clubrooms at Castlegreg­ory. We are looking for submission­s. Ocean theme. No entry fee but 10% commission on sold works. Must be ready for hanging and labelled with price, title, medium and your name on the back. Drop off date from Sunday 15th July to Thursday 19th July. Exhibition will run until 28th July at 4pm.
