Newlywed couple say ‘I do’ to donuts
THERE’S never a bad time to bring donuts into your life; just ask the newly married Kerry couple of Paul and Jenny Cotter who took a detour after their wedding to pick up some donuts from John Dough’s in Tralee.
The happy pair had just been married in Knocknagoshel on Friday and made a stop in Tralee to pose for photos outside the Croí restaurant, where Paul is sous-chef and one of the owners.
While posing for photos, new bride Jenny spotted John Dough’s across the road and her mind was made up.
“I didn’t eat breakfast that morning as I was trying to get everyone sorted so, after we’d finished the wedding, I just said to himself that I really wanted to get some donuts. Weddings are long days,” she laughed, speaking to The Kerryman on Monday.
“After the photos, I just said to him that I wanted some donuts, and so we went over. The staff there were definitely a little shocked to see us come in; they said it was a first them!”
