A special photographic treat is in place as Camera Club prepares an historic exhibit for this summer

-

CASTLEISLAND Camera Club has set up an exhibition in the local library which consists of photographs of the local area and its surrounds taken by club members.

“As part of this exhibition people have very kindly shared some of their old photos from these areas with us, and these are being displayed alongside the members’ photos,” said club PRO Breda McGaley. “The exhibition will run all through July, August and September and we would encourage people to visit during each month, as the photos on display will change over the time there.

“The library is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The exhibition is free to visit and people can go to our Facebook page – Castleisland Camera Club – if they wish to leave any comments.

“We would really appreciate feedback from visitors. The camera club would like to thank Castleisland Library and Kerry County Council for giving us the opportunity to exhibit in their building. Thanks also to anyone who gave old photos for the exhibition,” Ms McGaley concluded.
