Show time approaches in Blennerville

-

PREPARATIONS are well underway for the 39th Annual Blennerville Agricultural Show which will be held on Sunday 22nd July.

The number of sections in the show is increasing from year to year and the show offers ample off road parking to accommodate all the visitors to the show. The coastal show has numerous interesting events to be seen, varying from horse and pony classes and cattle and sheep classes.

The indoor section is a big attraction; this year the ICA will hold a large demonstration of baking and crafts.

The adult and children baking competition is sure to excite both young and old with a variety of classes to suit all.

And, of course, we can’t forget the traditional dog show with many classes including best dressed dog.

The much talked about bonny baby show is back again this year with rosettes and medals for all babies taking part.

There will be fun for all the family with children’s fancy dress, face painting, amusements, bouncy castles and much more.

Without the generous support of the sponsors it would not be possible for the organisers to run the show at such high standards. The Blenerville Show attributes its success to the fact that it is community based and that all the committee work on a voluntary basis.
