Irish water safety ran a very successful swim week in Ballyheigue with children receiving lessons in the sea from beginners to advanced; thanks to swimming instructor, Rochelle.
We were blessed with beautiful weather; thanks to all the parents and especially the children who took part, and enjoyed the lessons and the fun.

On Saturday last we had our fourth outing of the season when a great turnout of 30 golfers teed it up on the beautiful Ballyheigue Castle Golf Club. The outing was kindly sponsored by Lixnaw fabrication and a huge Thank You to Tommy and Kenneth. The winners on the day were as follows: Category A Winner Vince Linnane 42 points Runnerup Mark Condon 40 points. Category B Winner Ger Lynch 48 points Runner-up Jimmy Sullivan 40 points. The annual Mass at Kilconly Cemetery takes place on Friday, July 27, at 7.30 p.m.
BOOK EXCHANGE
Asdee Active Retired ‘book exhchange’ continues in the community centre where people bring and take used books away for reading purposes. This initiative is supported by Kerry County Council through the Asdee Active Retired since last February 2018. The only time to avail of this service is on Wednesday mornings 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. as the Active Retired can only access the centre during those hours.
