Lixnaw just edge out Kilmoyley to win the new Neilus Flynn Cup

CONGRATULATIONS to Lixnaw on winning the County Senior Hurling Championship title.
In last Sunday’s final, played at Austin Stack Park, they defeated Kilmoyley by 1-16 to 2-11. This was Lixnaw’s ninth title. Team captain, Darragh Shanahan received the new Corn Neilus Ó Floinn from Tim Murphy, Cathaoirleach Choiste Contae Chiarrai, CLG, while the Man of the Match Award went to the Lixnaw corner-forward Shane Conway.
Lixnaw now go on to compete in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship quarter-final on the October 28 against the Tipperary intermediate championship winners.

CONGRATULATIONS also to Abbeydorney on winning the Keane’s SuperValu Coutny Minor hurling championship.
They defeated Ballyheigue / Causeway by 3-11 to 1-16. Corn Seán Loibhéad was presented by the Cathaoirleach Tim Murphy to the captain, Michael Slattery, who also won the Man of the Match Award.
For Abbeydorney this was their first Countgy Minor title since 2008 and their fifth in all.
Acorn Life Under 21 Round 1 Draw
THE draw was made by Kerry Hurling Manager Fintan O’Connor on Sunday in Asutin Stack Park. Round 1 – St Brendans V Crotta O’Neills, Abbeydorney / Ballyheigue V Kenmare / Kilgarvan, Lixnaw V Ballyduff and Causeway V Kilmoyley / Stacks.
North Kerry update
ST Brendan’s won the North Kerry Under-13 ‘A’ Championship title [Jack & Mike Galvin Memorial Shield] on Tuesday last at Dromakee when they had a 4-5 to 2-7 win over Ballyduff. Gary O’Riordan was the St. Brendan’s captain while Keelan Best was Player of the Match.
North Kerry Under-15 ‘B’ Hurling Championship Round 3, Thursday, 30 August, 6.30pm, Tralee Parnells v Lixnaw at Caherslee. The winners play St. Brendan’s in the Final on this Saturday, September 1 at 5pm (venue to be confirmed).
The North Kerry Under-16 competitions begin on Sunday, 9 September while the next Under-10 Blitz will be hosted by Tralee Parnell’s at Caherslee on Saturday, 8 September commencing at 10am. Check the North Kerry Hurling Board Facebook page for all up to date fixtures and results.
