BEREAVEMENT

It has been a sad week again in the Community as we learned on Thursday morning last August 23rd of the sad news of the passing of Mary B O’Neill (née Cox) R.I.P. of Rusheen. Mary B as she was affectionately known was a very quiet and very much respected member of our community. A woman whose entire life centred around her family which she found great pride and joy and which followed on with the arrival of her grandchildren which she doted upon. Mary B was a very religious person and herself and her late husband Seamus R.I.P. practised their faith with attendance on a very regular basis at all of the ceremonies and holy events at the local church and elsewhere. The esteem in which Mary B and her family are held was hugely reflected by the huge congregation that turned out at the repose of her body at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Main Street on Friday evening last and at her Requiem Mass at St Michael of the Archangel Church and Interment afterwards in Lislaughtin Abbey on Saturday last. Our deepest sympathies are extended to her beloved family of son Shay, daughters Maura, Aine and Noreen, brother Willie, sisters Sheila and Noreen, daughterinMarie, sons-in-law Chris, Padraig and Eamonn, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothersnephews, nieces, family relatives and wide circle of friends. Sympathy is also extended to Michael O’ Carroll and family Lenamore on the death of his sister in law in Manchester England Ar dheis dea go raibh a hainmi dilis.

The Festival of Kerry is always one of the greatest closing events of the summer in Tralee and around the county of Kerry too. And the fun and great atmosphere of the occasion has always spilled out to us in Camp too. And last week when the Roses came to lunch at Ashes Bar and Restaurant, there was none more delighted and excited than the local children whose admiration for the lovely Roses was palpable.

Afterwards they headed down to Sandy Feet Pet Farm and onto Maharees for a Jaunt with Denny Cronin. And the parish had a Rose Escort too, Daniel O Connell from Inch was an escort to 2 of the roses over the week in Tralee. And Ocean View Nursing Home had their own party with music and dance and staff donning Rose sashes and the residents loved it.
