Round 2 of Garvey’s County SFC

THE Draw for Round 2 was made last Saturday evening in Dingle by Sponsor Jim Garvey along with Seán Dargan and Fionnán Fitzgerald.

The winners from Round 1 went into round 2A and the losers from Round 1 went into Round 2B. The CCC met last Monday night to set the fixtures for Round 2. All games go ahead this weekend.

On Saturday at 5.30pm, Mid Kerry face Killarney Legion in Killorglin. On Sunday, there are three games in 2A, two are fixed for Fitzgerald Stadium-at 2pm it’s East Kerry versus Dingle followed at 3.45pm with Dr Crokes taking on Kerins O’Rahillys.

Also on Sunday in Caherciveen, South Kerry will play Austin Stacks at 2.30pm.

In Round 2B, three games go ahead on Saturday at 5.30pm, its Rathmore versus Kenmare Shamrocks in Rathmore, Shannon Rangers take on St Brendans in Ballylongford and An Ghaeltacht face Kenmare District in Gallarus. On Sunday at 2.30pm Feale Rangers meet St Kierans in Listowel.

Round 2A winners progress to quarter-finals (four teams), Round 2A losers progress to Round 3 (four teams), Round 2B winners progress to Round 3 (4 teams) and Round 2B losers exit the competition (four teams).
