COISTE NA NÓG:U10:The U10 hurlers were delighted to put their skills into practise when they played Ballyheigue in a friendly during the week. There was a fine display of hurling by both sides. The U12s proved too strong for Lixnaw on Friday night. Although Lixnaw rallied at the end, it wasn’t enough to make an impact. Final score Ballyduff 3-18 Lixaw 2-4.

The U16 hurlers were crowned county champions in Kilmoyley on Sunday evening. Abbeydorney looked threatening in the first few minutes and scored a goal to lead by two points early in the first half. Ballyduff replied and managed to score 1-7 without reply from Abbeydorney. At half time they led by 9 and were playing with the wind in the second half. Weather conditions deteriorated for the second half but that didn’t deter the Ballyduff boys who never took their foot of the gas. Final score Ballyduff 2-20 Abbeydorney1-5. Captain Darragh Slattery accepted the plaque on behalf of the team. Well done to players and mentors.
