MAHAREES HERITAGE AUTUMN REUNION

Friday 7th Sept: Venue- Green Room Bar, Ceann Duimhche 9pm till late Music and Song

Saturday 8th: Harbour House, Scraggane 3pm: Maharees in the 1930’s and 1940’s’ talk given by Martin Lynch. Followed by a Rambling House featuring many of our local singers and musicians. Spillanes’ Bar Fahamore: pm till late

Sunday 9th: Outdoor Mass (weather permitting) at Spillanes’ carpark. Immediately followed by the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the many families who left Maharees in the state sponsored migration ‘ up the country’. All welcome!

PADDY’S PICNIC FOR PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT UHK

Paddy O’Brien spent his last weeks in the Palliative Care Unit @ Tralee General Hospital, He was always fundraising for Charities and Paddy’s Picnic is being organised by his family and friends on Sat 8th Sept @ Fitz’s Junction Bar Camp to raise funds for The Palliative Care Unit.

It Kicks off at 3pm–6pm for Families with Face painting, Magician, Clown and Kiddies Disco.

Followed @ 7pm by a great night of music and Craic with the Camp Kittens, The Dingle Berries with Special Guests, Comedy with a Fr Ted Tribute and Standup with Joe Rooney & Patrick Mc Donnell, followed by Katsquire to dance the night away!
