The Kerry Camogie Team will face Dublin in the Liberty Insurance Ireland All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Championsh­ip Final on Sunday, 9th September at 12noon. TODDLER GROUP

Toddler Group will recommence on Thursday 13th September. It will run from 10am until 11.30 am in St Columba’s Community Centre, Kilflynn. There is lots of fun and games to be had by the children allowing the adults some time for coffee and chats. All new babies, toddlers, parents, grandparen­ts and childminde­rs welcome. ST. MARY’S CHURCH

Mass Will be celebrated on Wednesday 29thAugust at 10.00am Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 8th September at 6.00p.m Congrats and well Done to Kilflynn Church Choir members Ann Mahony, Caroline Lynch, Joe McAuliffe and Willie Keane who were part of the Choir for the Papal Mass in The Phoenix Park, Dublin on Sunday 26th August.

DARTS WINNERS

The winners of the darts in Parker’s Lounge Bar , Kilflynn on Saturday 25th August were Dermot Ryan and Paud Fuller who defeated Declan Falvey and Tim O’Halloran in the Final. The winners received a leg of lamb each. The winners of the darts in Parker’s Lounge Bar , Kilflynn on Saturday 1st September were Shane Nolan and Greg Leahy who defeated Michael Whelan and John Leahy in the Final. The winners received a leg of lamb each. The next darts doubles tournament takes place on Saturday 8th September at 10.30p.m in Parker’s Lounge Bar. The winners will receive a leg of lamb each. All names in for 10.20p.m

LIXNAW GOLF SOCIETY

The society held their annual 3 ball scramble at Ballyheigu­e Golf Club last Thursday evening 23rd August. All eyes were on Roger Hussey who was going for his 6th in a row. Unfortunat­ely he just lost out to Maurice Fahy, Ger Griffin and Tom Lynch who came first on the day. In second place was Roger Hussey, Con Keeffe and Neily Sullivan. Thanks to everyone who showed up on the night. Next outing is in Adare Golf Club on 29th of September. Tee times from 11.40am to 12.40pm

COMMUNITY CENTRE

RING OF KERRY CYCLE

This year James Fogarty’s cycle was for St. Mary of the Angels, Beaufort, the amount collected €14,780. James wishes to thank the following: All the businesses in the area and beyond who took sponsorshi­p cards, those who had cake sales or who contribute­d in any way. In particular, James wishes to thank Eilish Perryman from Listowel who collected €11,300 on his behalf for the St. Mary of the Angels.

The death took place on 26th August 2018 of Bridie Moore (née Culhane) Glenalappa, Moyvane, And formerly of Ballinagou­l, Glin. Wife of the late Ned Moore, survived by her sons Tom and Pat, daughters-in-law Mairéad and Bríd, her four grandchild­ren Bridget, Nicola, Edward and Thomas, her brother Mick Culhane. Requiem Mass was celebrated on Wednesday 29th August. Burial afterwards at Murhur Cemetery.
