GAA star McConville to address Killorglin school
GAA star Oisín McConville will share his battle with addiction at a drugs awareness and addiction evening next week in Killorglin
The former All Ireland winning GAA star from Armagh battled a gambling addiction which almost ruined his career and life.
The information evening is open to parents and Leaving Cert and Transition year students in South Kerry and is being organised by Cllr Damian Quigg in light of anti-social behaviour issues in the area. He says that it is important that this information evening is well attended to help combat issues affecting communities across Kerry.
A number of other key speakers will attend the evening at the CYMS in Killorglin on Wednesday, September 19 at 7.30pm, as well as agencies dealing with addiction and drug issues.
