Kenmare fans visit, and impart their knowledge
MEMBERS of the esteemed Kenmare Historical and Cultural Society recently visited Cahersiveen to support their beloved Kenmare Shamrocks versus South Kerry.
This was a Saturday evening County Senior Football Championship first-round encounter at the Con Keatng Park.
They afterwards visited Josephine Keating’s Corner House Bar in the middle of the town.
There they were very well received as they imparted their considerable historical and cultural knowledge to delighted patrons.
The Kenmare visitors were Arthur O’Sulllivan, Danny O’Sullivan, Jerry Sayers, Jackie Tuohy, Timmy O’Leary, John Morgan O’Sullivan, James McCarthy and Paudie Moriarty.
As their renowned friend in culture, music and Gaelic ways, Seán Garvey of Cahersiveen, did not attend, they did not commit to music or song on this occasion.
