Scope out your future career at annual IT Tralee Jobs Fair

STUDENTS, graduates and job-seekers will have their chance to get their foot on the employment ladder next week when they attend the annual Careers Fair at the IT Tralee.

Over 40 different employers will exhibit at the fair which will take place from 10am to 2pm at the North Campus’ BIT building on Wednesday, September 26.

All those from Kerry who are interested in learning about a new career path are urged to attend and connect in-person with potential employers in the region; attendance is completely free for jobseekers.

“This event is an ideal opportunit­y for employers to meet with our students, graduates, and job seekers from across the county,” said IT Tralee Careers Officer, Carol Collins.

‘ This is our 13th year running the event and it has grown steadily each year, and has benefited both our students and employers in the industry, as a result of their engagement on the day.”

The event will also provide a networking platform for the employers and graduates and students.

Companies exhibiting on the day include Dairymaste­r, JRI America, Amazon, XINTEC, McHale Engineerin­g Ltd, BioMarin Internatio­nal Ltd., ALDI, among others.

“There will be something for everyone on the day. If you are considerin­g a new role in your chosen career, interested in pursuing a course or apprentice­ship, or exploring options for a complete change in career, the IT Tralee Careers Fair offers a great opportunit­y to see what’s out there.” Carol added.

The Careers Office provide a series of workshops, seminars and industry guest presentati­ons to guide students on their future career path. Preparator­y workshops include personalit­y profiling, CV and cover letter creation, Job search skills, LinkedIn profile creation, and Interview techniques.
