Kerry to host Tyrone in first round of league

THE provisiona­l fixtures for next year’s Allianz Football league have been released but these are provisiona­l and are very much subject to change.

As it stands Kerry host Tyrone on Sunday January 27, followed by a trip to Cavan a week later before welcoming the All-Ireland Champions Dublin to Kerry on Saturday February 9.

Galway will host Kerry in Salthill on Sunday, February 24 followed by a home game against Monaghan on Sunday March 3. Then we are home on March 9 to Mayo before our final game of the round which is away to Roscommon on Sunday, March 24.

Garvey’s County SFC

THE draw for Round 3 was made last Sunday evening in Fitzgerald Stadium by County Board Officers Fionnán Fitzgerald and Leona Twiss. The CCC met on Monday night to set the fixtures for weekend ahead.

On Saturday September 15 at 5pm, Dingle face St Kierans in Austin Stack Park and South Kerry play Rathmore in Killorglin. On Sunday, September 16 at 2pm, Mid Kerry play St Brendans and following that at 3.45pm Dr Crokes play An Ghaeltacht in Fitzgerald Stadium

Four teams have now exited the Championsh­ip – Kenmare Shamrocks, Kenmare District, Shannon Rangers and Feale Rangers.

Four teams have also gone straight through to the Quarter Finals – Austin Stacks, Kerins O’Rahillys, East Kerry and Killarney Legion.
