Munster handball title for Ballymac’s Daire Keane
BALLYMAC’S Daire Keane is the Munster 60x30 singles champion after he beat Limerick’s Jack O’Brien 21-11, 21-7.
Asdee’s Pat Lacey came up just short in his Emerald Master’s B singles final. He lost out to Martin Ryan from Tipperary 12-21, 14-21.
In the Ladies All-Ireland 60x30 Senior quarter final Ashley Prendeville from Ballymac lost out to Kilkenny’s Ciara Mahon 21-20, 21-10
This is a busy week in the handball alleys. In the Munster 60x30 Junior A doubles quarter final Cian and Clive Counihan from Ballymacelligott will take on Tipperary’s Kevin Dempsey and Noel Moroney in Ballina, Co Tipperary on Thursday night.
In the Intermediate quarter-final Jack O’Shea from Glenbeigh will play Philip Butler from Waterford at 6pm this Sunday in Dungarvan.
