Favourite fails on last leg of Pick Six

FIVE winners up – and a 5/4 favourite to come! That was the €2,000 Pick Six story at Tralee Track on Friday night, but the greyhound carrying the one unit still standing going into the sixth leg, Baldoin, failed to reproduce his sparkling form of the two earlier rounds and was beaten into fourth place.

Could be a while before anybody gets that close to the Pick Six jackpot again.

THREE members of the same litter provided a terrific treble for Millstreet’s Donal G O’Mahony at Sunday evening’s SIS session at the Oakview venue, namely Millridge Zero (29.53), Millridge Milo (28.88) and Millridge Lexi (29.18), while local owner, Noel O’Leary, saw his bitch, Loher Storm, clock the fastest time of 28.50, to complete a quite remarkable four-timer for members of the Laughil Blake – Loher Baby litter over the weekend.

Other winners were Garfiney Champ, 17.76; Sarges Bullet, 28.90; Pennylane Iarla, 28.79; Mailroad Return, 28.99. The going was .10 fast.
