Second Round FAI YOUTH CUP

Killorglin AFC or Killarney Athletic V Killarney Celtic St Brendan’s Park or Tralee Dynamos V Ballyhar Dynamos FC A STRONG downfield wind had a big bearing on this game and CSCB enjoyed its assistance in the first half and they had the lion’s share of possession.

They were denied twice by great saves by the Annancaul keeper Tommy Pierce while another ball destined for the net was taken off the line by Jason Hickson.

Annascaul/Inch got more into the game in the second half with Eamon Hickson going close from a header and Killian Falvey was only denied a goal by great last ditch defending by their opponents.

The break through came for Annascaul/Inch when Jerry Foley floated a great free kick into the box which was headed home by Jason Hickson.

CSCB pushed hard for an equaliser hitting the cross bar from a tight angle and drawing another smart save from Tommy Pierce low down to his left.

However Annascaul/Inch wrapped up the win when Joe Kennedy finished after good approach work from Killian Falvey. Best for the winners were Joe Kennedy Jason Hickson and Jerry Foley.

Stephen Bartlett (Castleisland), Jason Hickson (Annascaul Inch), Daniel Kinsella (Strand Road), Frank O’Connor (Manor West FC), Josh Crowley Holland (Inter Kenmare), Eric Daly (Ballybunion FC), Gary Cassidy (CG Killarney), Chris O’Meara (Killarney Athletic), Brendan Delaney (Mainebank) Damian Diggins (Tralee Dynamos), Jimmy O’Brien (Sneem Santos)
