COISTE NA NÓG:U8:The U8 footballers travelled to Lyracompane on Friday night to take part in a go games blitz. They played three matches in total against Moyvane, Duagh and Tarbert and were delighted to be able to put the training to good use. Well done to players and coaches. U10:The U10 hurlers finished their season with a blitz in Tralee Parnells on Saturday. They played great, winning 3 out of 4 of their games, and were narrowly beaten by Ballyheigue. Well done to players and coaches and a big thank you to all the parents for getting them to training and matches all year. U15: Ballyduff contested the final of the North Kerry U15 “A” Hurling Championship against Ballyheigue in Lixnaw on Tuesday night. They knew it was going to be a tough one as we have come up short against this Ballyheigue team on other occasions. Ballyheigue started the brighter and seemed to be winning a lot of the individual battles on the pitch and never relinquished their lead for the whole game. Although we came within two points with a late goal it wasn’t to be our day. Final score 2 - 11 to 2 9. U16:The North Kerry U16 Hurling Championship kicked off this weekend, and Ballyduff’s first opponents were Ardfert at home on Sunday evening. The visitors started with the breeze and the draw at half time showed how evenly matched they were in the first half. Ardfert opened the second half with three wides before Ballyduff settled and took advantage of the strong breeze to put a few over the bar. The match finished with a comfortable win for Ballyduff.Ball Wall:Finally the Ball Wall committee are looking for volunteers for next Saturday 15th for a bucket collection that is taking place in Ballyduff from 9.00am to 6.30pm.
