U16 County Championship Plate Final Lixnaw; 3-9. Ardfert; 1-20. SENIORS; made their exit from the North Kerry championship following their 1-11 to 1-13 defeat to Ballyduff. Ballyduff had the upper hand in the first half and were four points up at half time, 1-8 to 0-7. Two quick points for Ballyduff after the break stretched their lead but a Colin Sheehy goal settled Lixnaw again. It was score for score from here on but Lixnaw couldn’t get their noses in front, Ballyduff just edging it out in the end. Panel; Martin Stackpoole, Stephen Power, Gerard Stackpoole, Shane McElligott, Ricky Heffernan, Brian McAuliffe, Colin Sheehy, John Buckley, Jeremy McKenna, Raymond Galvin, Tom Foley, William Costello, Robert Silles, Cathal McCarthy, Tommy Molyneaux, Jason Wallace, Liam Mullins.

U16 COUNTY PLATE FINAL; hard luck on the u16s who were beaten by Ardfert 3-9 to 1-20 in a very entertaining County Plate final played in Lerrig. Ardfert were probably the better team overall but Lixnaws heart and determination ensured they were right there until the end. Goals from Mikey Kelliher, Eoin Stack and Aidan O’Brien at crucial stages kept them well in the contest but despite their best efforts, they couldn’t get their noses in front. Ardfert picked off their points and were deserving five point winners in the end. Lixnaw play Crotta this Monday evening in the North Kerry championship in Lixnaw with a 6-30 throw in time.
