FIELD DEVELOPMENT; In 2016 Lixnaw Hurling Club embarked on a development plan to improve facilities at Hermitage Park, to address and steer these developments a Field Development Subcommittee was established. These improvements included acquiring extra ground to facilitate widening of the field, laying of a sand carpet pitch, additional play - area laid out at lower end of pitch, walking /running path around the perimeter of field for public use, installation of lighting for night - time training and seating. The total cost of the project is heading towards €160.000 and is close to our planned budget. However, there is a small shortfall and to alleviate this the Club are running ‘ A Night at the Dogs’ fundraiser at Kingdom Greyhound Track in Tralee on the 20th October 2018.
