The lectures will take place at Ardfert Retreat Centre, beginning at 8p. There is no formal charge for attending the lectures, but donations are accepted at the door, which go towards the upkeep of the Retreat Centre. There is no need to book in advance & all are welcome to attend.

Allianz Cumann na mBunscol: Ardfert got off to a winning start as they go in defense of their Allianz Cumann na mBunscol title. In a very competitive outing we overcame the stiff challenge of a spirited O Bréanainn side. Next up is an away game against Spa N.S.

NIGHT CLASSES
With the long nights coming in there will be plenty to occupy time for people of the area with a series of night classes to begin in the coming weeks. Circuit Training is already up and running every Monday and Thursday nights at 7 30pm. Dancing classes which were so very popular last year commence on Monday October 15th at 8 15pm.
Further classes are on the pipeline line so keep tuned in for information.

TIDY TOWNS
Asdee Tidy Towns were delighted with the results of the Tidy Towns report. Our score was up by 22 points from 2014. We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve this result. This is a very positive acknowledgement of what can be achieved. We would hope that next year that we will repeat this success and possibly win an award for our endeavours.

The Parents Association Annual Bake Sale is on Sunday October 21st at 10am-1pm in Scoil Íosagáin in the school Hall. Please support the bake sale, many tasty treats in store and this year they will have take-away tea and coffee for you to enjoy.

What a great day dancing at our annual Tea Dance thanks to everyone who came and supported it. The next Tea Dance is on Sunday 29th October with music by Matt Dillion. November’s Tea dance is 26th dancing to Ger Walsh and we are holding a dance on Friday Night December 28th dancing to Ger Walsh so lots to look forward to in Ballybunion at the Hibernian Bar come on and get out to pass the winter blues

Our thanks to Marion and John Dee of the Railway Bar for hosting a very successful Pub-quiz Fundraiser last Friday night. Also, Tony Moore our question master extraordinaire, and the many supporters who contributed generously towards Kori Goad’s expenses at the European Junior Boxing Championships in Russia shortly. Boxing training continues every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7pm. In addition, our "Healthy Boxing Bodies" fitness class is flying every Tuesday from 6pm.
TIDY TOWNS
Ballybunion Tidy Town in conjunction with St. John’s Restoration Fund is scheduled for Friday, 5th October 2018 with tee times from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and an awards ceremony following the completion of the last team. Tidy Towns depends on the generosity of community donations, small partial grants from Kerry County Council and this major fundraiser. Some businesses and groups have already responded to our letters of appeal with teams and/ or sponsorship. If you have not yet responded, it is not too late. Your support and participation is vital to do all we want and need to do to keep your community the best it can be.
