NIGHT CLASSES

With the long nights coming in there will be plenty to occupy time for people of the area with a series of night classes to begin in the coming weeks. Circuit Training is already up and running every Monday and Thursday nights at 7 30pm. Dancing classes which were so very popular last year commence on Monday October 15th at 8 15pm.

TIDY TOWNS

Asdee Tidy Towns were delighted with the results of the Tidy Towns report. Our score was up by 22 points from 2014. We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve this result. This is a very positive acknowledg­ement of what can be achieved. We would hope that next year that we will repeat this success and possibly win an award for our endeavours.

What a great day dancing at our annual Tea Dance thanks to everyone who came and supported it. The next Tea Dance is on Sunday 29th October with music by Matt Dillion. Our thanks to Marion and John Dee of the Railway Bar for hosting a very successful Pub-quiz Fundraiser last Friday night. Also, Tony Moore our question master extraordin­aire, and the many supporters who contribute­d generously towards Kori Goad’s expenses at the European Junior Boxing Championsh­ips in Russia shortly. Boxing training continues every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7pm. In addition, our "Healthy Boxing Bodies" fitness class is flying every Tuesday from 6pm.

Ballybunio­n Tidy Town in conjunctio­n with St. John’s Restoratio­n Fund is scheduled for Friday, 5th October 2018 with tee times from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and an awards ceremony following the completion of the last team. Tidy Towns depends on the generosity of community donations, small partial grants from Kerry County Council and this major fundraiser.
