COUNTY CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the Hurlers from Tournafulla and their management on winning the county Junior A hurling championship title on Sunday last. The final score of 1-17 to 10pts was a fair reflection of the dominance of Tour over near neighbouring rivals, Killeedy in the decider played before a large crowd in Dromcollogher. Mountcollins had four players in the team, Stephen Cahill, James Brouder, Tom McCarthy and Jamie Lenihan who all played a big part in the victory. A tremendous display from Stephen Cahill saw him receive the man of the match award. Stephen will be a huge loss to the hurlers in the Munster campaign as well as to the footballers of Mountcollins as he leaves for Australia this week. We wish him an enjoyable trip and hopefully we will see him back playing hurling and football in the not to distant future.
