CORRECTION:
The Islandman page on October 17 carried a report on the South Kerry senior football championship final victory of Skellig Rangers, Portmagee, over St Marys of Cahersiveen in 1968.
The report by the Iveragh correspondent at that time stated that Frank O’Leary of St Marys was absent due to being on a cruise to the isles of Greece.
Frank states that he never took such a cruise and that family commitments and circumstances beyond his control prevented him from playing in a final – from which he very much regretted being absent.
