Minor C crown for six goal ‘Flesk

EAST KERRY MINOR ‘C’ CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Glenflesk 6-12 Currow 1-14

GLENFLESK proved too strong for a young Currow side in the Tatler Jack East Kerry Minor ‘C’ Championship Final. Played in Fitzgerald Stadium, a David O’Connor goal for Glenflesk plus three points to two for Currow, saw the Glenflesk side ahead going into the second quarter.

A scatter of points kept the scoreboard ticking over. However, a Glenflesk purple patch saw David Cantillion (2) and Patrick Darcy rattle the Currow net. Currow had a great shot on goal saved by Glenflesk goal keeper Mark Kelliher. A brace of points saw the score at the break Glenflesk 4-8 Currow 0-5.

On resumption, Currow notched up four points and a Sean Brosnan goal. Emmet Finnan raised a green flag for Glenflesk, maintaining an unassailable lead.

A Sean Doherty goal sealed the Glenflesk victory.
