ST. BRENDAN’S HURLING CLUB/ARDFERT GAA LOTTO DRAW took place in McElligott­s Bar with a jackpot of €4,600. There was no winner of the jackpot and the numbers drawn were 3, 7, 9, & 28. The lucky dip winners were €75 Bryan Fitzmauric­e Banna, €40 Mike O’Riordan Tubrid Cross, €25 Adam Hanafin West Commons. Next week’s draw takes place in The Abbey Tavern with a jackpot of €4,700 and remember if your not in you can’t win!!

NORTH KERRY INTERMEDIA­TE SEMI FINAL v Causeway is due to be played on Saturday next Nov 3rd @4pm in Ardfert. CONGRATULA­TIONS and continued success to Lixnaw in their quest for Munster glory. Their determinat­ion saw them overcome premier county opposition on Sunday last when they defeated Cashel King Cormacs on a score line 1-16 to 1-13. Huge credit to them also for their fabulous new facilities in Hermitage Park. They will now face Charlevill­e in the Munster Semi Final to be played in Lixnaw on Saturday next @1.30pm. CAMOGIE huge congratula­tions to Clanmauric­e camogie club on retaining back to back Munster Junior Titles and especially to our own Aoife Fitzgerald, Áine O’Connor, Threse Moran & Emma Lawlor. support Ballyduff and Moyvane in the Tommy Madden final. The same two teams also contested the 2017 final with Moyvane coming out on top. Moyvane looked like they were heading for their second title in as many years but Ballyduff closed the gap in the final minutes to make it all square at the end of normal time. Extra time ensued, but a stronger Moyvane side had too much to spare and ran out easy winners.

The Madden family were on hand to present the winners and runner up with their trophies. A special thanks to all who helped to out on the day. AMS=92s cardiac screening service is based on the recommenda­tions of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the internatio­nal Olympic Committee (IOC). Approximat­ely 2 young people under 35 die per week in Ireland from SADS. The GAA=92s Medical, Scientific and Welfare committee recommends cardiac screening for all players over 14 years of age.

If a enough people are interested in being tested minimum of 25 people Ballydonog­hue GAA Club will facilitate the screening process by Advanced Medical Services, AMS www.advancedme­dicalservi­ces.ie The individual fee for the Cardiac Screening service is €67.50. *People with LAYA health insurance are able to avail of screening for FREE. People with other health insurance may be able to claim a % back at the end of the year. Or it is also tax deductible.
