Kerry combo too good for Kanturk / Charleville
MUNSTER UNDER 18 CONFERENCE 2
Killarney / Killorglin 21 Kanturk / Charleville 0
KILLARNEY / Killorglin enjoyed an emphatic victory over the combined Cork side at Ballymalis last Saturday.
Despite dominating their opponents in the first half Killarney / Killorglin managed just two Jack Evans penalties to take a 6-0 lead in at the break. They probably should have scored a try before the break as they were camped on the Kanturk / Charleville line. Indeed, some repeated infringements from the visitors saw them lose a man to the sin bin right on the stroke of half time.
Killarney / Killorglin made no mistake with the extra numbers and scored the first of two tries when Aaron Houlihan got over in the corner after a great effort from the whole squad.
A few minutes later, Cormac Doyle showed great strength and with a long arm touched down the teams second try. Jack Evans added a conversion and another penalty and the game finished 21-0 to Killarney / Killorglin.
Newcastle West/Estuary 36 Castleisland 5
CASTLEISLAND travelled to Newcastle West and were very firmly put to the sword by the home side. The Castleisland try scorer was Matthew O’Connor.
