THRESHING CANCER

The wonderful group that is Threshing Cancer had another hugely successful cheque presentation night on Friday last. They have yet again raised huge funds for Cancer charities in Kerry and we are hugely thankful for their support yet again this year. Over the last number of years they have raised huge funds for many charities and they handed over a cheque to Kerry Hospice for a massive €16,000 and presented cheques to many more charities on the night.

We can not thank this group of people enough for the great support over the years and we thank all who supported the very successful events.

We must also congratulate Threshing Cancer on their recent deserved award from the Kerryman Awards night.

CHEQU E PRESENTATION

Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn presented a cheque to Kerry Hospice for over €1300 this week after their coffee morning that they held in the school over the last few weeks. Well done to all the staff and children who took part and a huge thank you to all who supported in any way.

MEAN SCOIL AN LEITH-TRIÚIG

A huge well done to Mean Scoil an Leith-Triúig who cut many inches off their hair for charity last week. They will donate their hair to the Princes Trust and all monies raised will be donated to Kerry Hospice Foundation and Cancer Society. A huge thank you to all who continue to support this event.

SCITHE HEALTH & RELAXATION

Also thank you to Ann Murphy of Scithe Health and Relaxation who raised over €3000 for KHF after she held a health and wellness day in An Riocht recently. This event was hugely supported and we are so grateful to everyone who attended or helped in any way. Well done Anne and thank you for the generous cheque presentation.

Also thank you to Betty O’Connell of Kearney’s Bar, Castleisland who also presented a cheque for €1,000 to the Kerry Hospice Foundation. They raised this over the last few weeks after holding coffee mornings. We are very grateful to all who supported Kearneys Bar in their fundraising efforts.
