FEDERATION MEETING

The winter Federation meeting of ICA will be held on Sunday 18th November 2018 in Halla le Chéile, Ballyguin, Brandon at 2.30pm. There will be two competitio­ns at this meeting (1) Make a mince pie and (2) Guild Entry only -- decorate a tree for Christmas -- maximum height 1m or 3 feet approx..

Catering for this meeting will be done by the Western Cluster and any queries in relation to this please contact Mary Connolly-Kenny at 087 2607301 (outside office hours please).

Fitness and conditioni­ng for adults continues on Tuesdays at 8pm in Ardfert Community Centre with Ursula and these sessions are ideal for all levels of fitness and are great fun as well. Cost is €3.

Training for juveniles is on Wednesdays from next week onwards. Details from 087 7985557.

SOCCER

Kilmoyley Athletic continued on their winning ways with a 5-1 top of the table win over Manor FC at Mounthawk park on Sunday. Scorers were Jordan Brick (3), Daniel Collins and Sean Maunsell. Well done lads. There is no game this coming weekend. 12, 15, 17, and 31. Lucky dip winners of €25 each were; 1. Tommy O’Sullivan Trien Kilmorna; 2. Mag Comeor, Meath; 3. SPECIAL OLYMPICS COLLECTION

North Kerry Eagles Special Olympics Club would like to thank everyone who contribute­d to their recent Church Gate Collection in both Moyvane & Knockanure. Total collected €640. Also a special thanks to the collectors.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Congratula­tions to Kennelly’s Homevalue Hardware a family run business which was establishe­d in Moyvane on 23rd October 1978 by Mike Kennelly. After working in Dublin for 2 years, Mike returned to his local village of Moyvane where he opened a hardware business and began as a sole trader in a rented premises.

DEATHS

The death has taken place of Patrick (Paddy) Horan, Meanus Glin, and formerly of Duagh, on 23rd October 2018. Survived by his brother Tim and sister-in-law Mary; uncle of the Scannell Family (Duagh), the Relihan Family(Adare), the Horan Family, (Main Street, Glin) and all his nephews and nieces in Meanus - Thomas, Eddie, Maurice, John, Patrick, Timothy, Rosaleen, Margaret, Mary, Ann and Brigette.

DEATH has taken place of Pat Nash, Knocknasna, Abbeyfeale on October 22nd, 2018. Pat, son of the late Johnny, sadly missed by his mother Betty, brothers Michael and John, sisters Margaret and Nora, daughter Jodie, aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Annual November Mass on Monday 5th Nov at 7pm in the Chapel of Christ the Healer for patients who died during the year in Kerry University Hospital including those who died by still birth and miscarriag­e. visit card does not cover hospital charges.

Prescribed drugs are not covered by the card but, if you use the Drugs Payment Scheme, there is a limit on how much you have to pay for prescripti­ons each month. At present, you pay a maximum of €134 in a calendar month for approved prescribed drugs and medicines for use by yourself and your family in that month. SHOEBOX APPEAL

Transition year students of Meanscoil Nua an Leith-Triuigh are organising the Christmas Shoebox Appeal again this year and hope you will get involved by getting a leaflet in spar, filling a wrapped shoebox with gifts which will then be sent to needy children in Eastern Europe or Africa.
