RACES
The A.G.M of the Ballyheigue Races will take place on Friday 9th Nov at the K.L lounge 9-30pm. This year 2018 is the 50th Anniversary of Ballyheigue Races and to mark the occasion the committee will hold a twoday Race Meeting on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th December 2018.

DEATH
The death has taken place of Kathleen O’Regan (née Cahill), Ballinclemessig, Ballyheigue. Dearly loved Mother of Larry and Willie Joe, Daughter-in-law Catriona, Grandchildren Leanne, Conor, Ciara, and Niall. May She Rest in Peace. Reposing at her home on Tuesday 30th October. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ballyheigue.

THE YEAR OF THE HIKER
This play by John B Keane in association with Ballyheigue Community Players is back by popular demand for one extra show in the Community Centre on Sunday night Nov 18th, 8 00pm. Doors open 7-30pm. ST. BRENDAN’S ATHLETIC CLUB
Our juveniles enjoyed the 100th Tralee junior park-run last Sunday morning in Tralee Town Park. Training continues on Wednesday evening in Ardfert Community Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for children born in the years 2008 to 2011. For the older athletes born in the years 2007 to 2001 training is also held on Wednesday evening from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in The Sportsfield (Ardfert GAA). Cost for all ages is €2.00 and please bring a bottle of water with you. Adult Strength and Conditioning Training is held every Tuesday evening from 8 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. in Ardfert Community Centre. Cost is €3.00. The club are now accepting new members for both juveniles and adults. Weekly training runs with our Fit 4 Life group are also arranged during the week. Entries are now being taken for the Munster Inter Club Juvenile Relay Cross Country Championships on Sunday, 18th November in Clarecastle, Co Clare. Wishing Ben O’Connor and Matthew O’Sullivan the best of luck as they compete in the Munster Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country in Two Mile Borris, Co. Tipperary this Sunday. who took the time to come along and for the children who put on a great performance. We were also delighted to have some members of Ballybunion CCE joining us. STAGE THEATRE
Tarbert Theatre Players will present a Bryan MacMahon’s epic which tells of the tale of a young tinker couple as they journey with family through Ireland, from the north to the south on their spring carts. It is a story of love and hate, of birth and death. It is a story that will make you laugh and make you want to cry. The play will be staged at Tarbert Community Centre on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of November next at 8 pm. Tickets are 10 euros each. COFFEE MORNING
Castle View Café at Kerry Writers’ Museum is hosting a cultural coffee morning on Saturday November 10th from 10.30 am to 12 noon as part of Listowel Food Fair. Will include traditional music and song from Listowel Comhaltas Group and drama by the Kerry Writers’ Museum players. Sample award winning Alfredo coffee and some freshly baked scones and scrumptious delights. Tickets - €10. Proceeds in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland.
