Want to know when best to host your Christmas Party

-

THE first thing you should do is pick a suitable date. You don’t want your big party ruined by a poor turn out just because it lacked a little forward planning. Naturally with larger Christmas gatherings it’s much harder to arrange a date to suit everyone, but with smaller groups this should be much easier to do.

For example, make sure your party doesn’t clash with any major events that might be on the same evening, like a major sporting event or a big concert. This can lead to a pretty dismal turnout which could have been avoided had a little more prior consideration been given. Another tip might be to create a special committee entrusted with organising the Christmas party. This can really help as a designated person (or group) can then consult with everyone and decide upon the best party plan to suit. But remember that work places are usually made up of a consortium of varying age and interest levels and it pays to arrange that special occasion to suit all tastes and interests, not just yours! Also try and establish the basic theme for your Christmas party: is it a meal in a restaurant? Or would people just prefer a few drinks and some snacks to unwind without fuss?

These are just some of many considerations you need to be aware of. Just remember to be democratic and organise your party as much as possible to suit everyone (within reason, of course). Following this simple advice could be the difference between your party being a memorable one and something resembling a scene from Game of Thrones.
