Lyre Irish Rambling House talents return from a soldout 20th tour of England
IT was a distinct feeling of mission accomplished for the large group of traditional artists who comprise the Irish Rambling House on completing the group’s 20th tour of England.
For they brought the home sounds to a massive population of exiles, all delighted to touch base with the Ireland of their childhoods once more – in concerts at Manchester, Birmingham, London and Milton Keynes.
The Lyreacrompane-based Irish Rambling House group said they were delighted with the reception across all four venues in a reaffirmation of everything the group stands for. Music, song, dance and storytelling a la the group’s many talents brought the house down on each occasion.
Now, to mark the 20th year the group will perform at Siamsa Tíre, at the invitation of Radio Kerry, on Wednesday, December 12.
