out with pleurisy and couldn’t even go today, while his brother Kevin has the hand injury and it looks like it will be the other side of Christmas before he will be available to Kilcummin, or whoever.”

Meanwhile, Kilcummin captain Brendan Kealy said that although they were through to a Munster final that it was a strange feeling given the way that they had performed on the day.

“We have plenty to work on. There was lots of stuff there that on another day you could be caught. It’s a strange feeling because we’ve won the game and are in a Munster final but it doesn’t really feel like that after our performance. We feel like we didn’t perform, even though the score line mightn’t suggest that. There is plenty to work on over the next two weeks.”

There was a big local support at Kilcummin’s game on Sunday, and Kealy lauded the support that they have received from their supporters in their campaign thus far.

“The crowd have been excellent. There was a huge crowd that followed us up to Kilrush last week and there was great support here again today. There’s good momentum around the place but we just have to keep our heads down and keep doing what we are doing. The supporters can enjoy the journey but we have the work to do, especially with our shot selection. We need a bit more conviction with what we are doing.

“It’s very easy after today to spot the errors that we need to work on so that’s what the focus will be. Hopefully we will improve enough for two weeks time. There’s a good buzz there, it’s great to be looking forward to a final, so we will enjoy the journey and getting stuck back into it now during the week.”
