Home win puts Inter on top

Premier

INTER Kenmare top a very tight division thanks to their home win over Park.

Goals from Jack Sweeney, Liam O’Sullivan, Neal O’Shea, Darragh Murphy and Dawiel Grebovic plus a great performanc­e by keeper Danny O’Shea gave them all three points. Sam Slattery and Ryan O’Driscoll from the penalty spot were the Park’s scorers.

Killarney Athletic are in second place one point behind Inter after they drew 0-0 with Killarney Celtic.

LB Rovers are in third place after they took four points from their two games this week. In midweek they drew 0-0 with Killorglin who are in fourth. LB Rovers then saw off Dingle Bay Rovers on Saturday thanks to Darragh Moriarty, Michael Houlihan and Dáithí Keane Tyrell.

Killorglin will be happy with their 2-1 at home to Listowel Celtic. Aaron Doyle and Adam O’Neill got their goals with Dan Fischer replying for Listowel Celtic.

Division 1

FENIT and Killarney Athletic B both made it five wins from five and remain tied at the top of the table.

Athletic B won away at Mort Scott Park defeating Ballyhar thanks to goals from Darragh Griffin 3, Luke Courtney, Ryan Brady, David Butler and Brian McCarthy. Fenit had a hat-trick from Aaron Harty and a goal from Jayden Deady in their home win over Mastergeeh­a. Sean Cox and Sean Harnett scored for the Kilbrean side.

Tralee Dynamos are only three points behind the top two after their 6-1 away win over Listowel Celtic B. Christy Burke, Leon O’Connor and Naiobi got the Dynamso goals.

Camp Juniors are tied fourth on nine points thanks to a Dylan Harrington goal to give them a 1-0 win at home to Park B. Killarney Celtic B are also on nine points after their win away at Inter B. Leon Bowler and Colm Janot got the Celtic goals.

Division 2 South

WITH leaders MEK not playing, Iveragh United took full opportunit­y of the chance to go four from four and go joint top of the table.

The South Kerry side saw off Inter Kenmare with goals from Daithi Sugrue, Mark O’Connor, Oisin O’Carroll, Alex Kelly and Zac Driscoll. While they were beaten Inter keeper Adam Noonan did everything he could to keep out the rampant Iveragh side.

Third placed Killorglin had to settle for a point in a 3-3 draw with Mastergeeh­a. Killorglin led 1-0 at the break with their goals coming from Rioghan O’Sullivan and James Jones. Conal McCarthy, Dylan Cronin and John Myers replied for Mastergeeh­a. Killorglin were thankful for keeper Eoin Keane who made a triple save in the last minute.

Killarney Athletic C will be happy with their first win in three defeating neighbours Killarney Celtic with scores from John O’Sullivan, Cillian Coffey and Gratsian Pawlek. Cillian Slattery replied for Celtic.

Division 2 North

LB Rovers moved to the top of the table as they won the only game in the division . There was only one goal in the game and it was Zach Walshe that got goal as LB just got the better of Dingle Bay Rovers.

Girls Premier

KILLARNEY Celtic Whilte have opened a gap at the top of the Under 12 Girls Premier with two wins this week.

On Saturday goals from Naoishe O’Donoghue, Amber McIndoe and Aine Fitzgerald saw them defeat Camp Juniors. In mid-week the same three players scored for Celtic White as did Abie Finnan, Eabha Lynch and Leah O’Grady in their win over MEK Kickerz.

Also in mid-week Killarney Celtic Green were 3-1 winners at home to MEK Starz. Jessica Leggate and Kate Ford got the Celtic goals while Ellen Moriarty got the MEK Starz goal.
