Presentation and St Patrick’s pupils all set to entertain you
IT’S as regular as clock work and is looked forward to every year as much as Christmas itself. The annual talent show is on January 25, 2019 when the pupils of Presentation Secondary School and St Patrick`s Secondary School combine their talents for a display of wide ranging and impressive performances.
Once again it promises to be a highly entertaining show with friends, family, current and former staff, and many others gathering early to get the best seats in the house for what is an annual sell-out event.
This year`s show will open with the Presentation School Choir and a variety of other acts to follow from story-telling, traditional and modern music, dance and song. Needless to say, the school’s amateur drama group will entertain you with a few comedy sketches along the way.
After last year`s original take on a special production of Cinderella by the first years, everyone is looking forward to an equally entertaining sequel this year. Moreover, the 2018 crop of first year pupils are looking forward to showcasing their special talents, and no doubt patrons are in for an extremely entertaining evening in St John`s Hall.
“Our students are so talented on so many levels and this show gives them the opportunity to shine in ways we don`t see in a classroom or sporting setting,” said Katherina Broderick, Principal of Presentation Secondary School.
““The show itself is hugely beneficial for the students as it builds their confidence and allows them an opportunity to choose the areas of entertainment that they like to be involved in themselves, while it also teaches them to work as part of a group. It’s good for them in so many ways. There’s also great credit owed to the staff. The evening is a great source of pride to both schools,” said Katherina.
