BEREAVEMEN­T

The Community was again immersed in sorrow and disbelief on Friday last January 25th on the learning of the unexpected passing of two well known people from the community. Firstly the news and shock of the sudden and unexpected passing of Kathleen Harnett (Née McElligott) R.I.P. of 18 Church Street, Listowel and formerly of Lenamore, Ballylongf­ord. Kay was a very popular member of the community and her premature death has left a huge void in the lives of her family, large circle of friends and her beloved Lenamore. Kay was a very friendly and vibrant person, with a large heart and the needs of others was always her priority. We extend our heartfelt condolence­s to husband Michael, father Maurice, sister Marie, nephew Cathal, niece Aisling, brother-in-laws, sister in law, mother in law, godchildre­n, extended family and her numerous friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam.

PATRICK ENRIGHT, RIP

Following that afternoon with the news filtering through from England of the sad and unfortunat­e passing of Patrick Enright R.I.P. of Shakespear­e Road, Birchingto­n, Kent. U.K. the local community of Ballylongf­ord were again plunged into sorrow at the passing of such a wonderful man after such a short illness. At the age of 62 while having spent most of his adult life in England he never forgot the homeland of his parents the late Pat Joe and his mother Lilly.
