Corinne takes up role as first vice-president of Physio association
A LEADING Kerry physiotherapist has taken up a role at the helm of the profession nationally – as first vice-president of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Tralee-based physio Corinne Evans becomes the first Kerry appointee to the executive board of the organisation tasked with maintaining the highest of standards among its 3,000-plus-member body.
“It is such a great honour to be appointed,” Corinne said, adding: “I look forward to exciting yet very challenging times ahead.”
She comes to the role with a wealth of experience. Qualifying with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from Kings College, University of London, Corinne has numerous post-graduate qualifications to her name and cites among the highlights of her career her time as senior physiotherapist for the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games and the Rugby World Cup 2015. Corinne has also worked at the University of Limerick, the IT Tralee and the Kerry College of Further Education, and she taught on the Southwest GP Training Scheme.
