Moyvane host Scór Sinsear county finals this Friday

WITH all District Boards having their competitions completed by last weekend the stage is now set for the staging of the County Finals of Scor Sinsear which will be held in the Marian Hall, Moyvane on this Friday at 7pm.

Certainly the response from the Clubs in this special year as we celebrate 50 years of Scor has been very favourable indeed. The evening will be getting underway with the Figure Dancing, continuing on with Solo Singing, Recitation and Ballad Group; there will be a break for 15 minutes before the second half of competitions begins.

Leiriu, Instrumental Music and finishing with Set Dancing competition in that order and this will conclude the days proceedings; so with a huge attendance expected everybody will be in for a great evenings entertainment. All the winners on the evening will then go forward to the Munster semi-finals to be held in the Ovens Community Centre, Cork on Saturday, February 23 with the Munster Finals set for the City Hall, Cork on Saturday March 2.

The date and venue has been confirmed for the County Quiz Final with Friday, March 8 pencilled in for the Centre Of Excellence, Currow. The Quiz which was always part of the days programme has been changed; with all Clubs coming together to take part in a County Final with the outright winners going directly forward to the All Ireland Finals which will take place at the Royal Theatre Travellers Friend, Castlebar, County Mayo on Saturday April 13.
