TIDY TOWNS

The inclement weather and the traffic disruption have impeded the work plans at the moment. Many potted daffodils are ready to be transplanted into the gaps in the daffodil displaY. There are two big projects in the pipeline at present - the construction of the stone walls around the rockeries and the major repairs to the wall in the centre of the village. The cheque for €1,000 received from SSE Airtricity at the presentation night in Halla Inse Ban last week is very much appreciated and we thank Airtricity for same. That money was granted to help defray the cost of the wall repairs which is estimated at much more than that. Any ideas for a fundraiser would be very welcome.
